The Apple Regional Training Centre (RTC) network plays a vital part bringing their technology to teachers. The network comprises 50+ centres throughout the UK and Ireland which, in partnership with Apple, aim to develop and deliver an annual programme of courses designed to:
- "bring learning to life with digital technology"
- "enliven school lessons with images, video and sound."
Ellon Academy has a long traditional of working with Apple technology and is at the forefront of integrating Macs and PC's
We have recently received our allocation of wireless Macbook laptops from Apple.
And, in addition,we have also purchased an additional 2 macbooks to increase our overall mobile provision.
In total Ellon Academy now boasts a complement of 37 Apple computers, all fully integrated into our CC3 network.
They have excellent software built into them. capable of working with Stop frame animation, Video, Music and really fun stuff for integrating stories with images, plus Microsoft Office. They are connected to our CC3 network, so users can easily work with files in both platforms.

Our kit has now been upgraded and we are now established as an RTC.
Feedback from our initial courses has been very positive.
Our programme
Every effort is made to develop courses which address the challenges of a 'curriculum for excellence'
If you have specific area of interest you would like us to include in the programme, please get in touch
Courses will initially be developed as an 'in house' series of hands on training opportunities, however, if it better suits your circumstances. we can come to you, provided you can get at least 10 teachers together.
